The Digital Self Portrait Project
The Digital Self Portrait Project was an intervention designed for digital multimodal composition. Students were invited to create a digital self portrait using any interactive media with which they were familiar. Using Walt Whitman’s ‘Song of Myself,’ students communicated something essential about themselves in the midst of the things that surround us but “are not the Me myself.” The assessment for the diverse projects consisted of a co-constructed contract between the teacher and students, as well as a self-reflection and presentation.
